THE COST OF COOL-  From the earliest age, children in the U.S. are bombarded with a constant stream of messages from  media that encourages them to consume every kind of resource and product. But the environmental cost of the resulting consumption has a profound impact on the entire planet.


5:30pm  .  MORE FUN LESS STUFF-  Hosted by actor Danny Glover, this film features inspiring profiles of individuals, companies and      organizations that are changing the way they consume to improve quality of life, protect the environment and promote social justice. 


7:00pm  .  GREEN PLANS-  Hosted by CNN's Jack Hamann, GREENPLANS presents a hopeful look at how two countries have moved beyond the usual environmental conflicts to develop widely supported national plans for sustainable development. Competing   interests in the Netherlands and New Zealand were brought together to hammer out a comprehensive national environmental policy.
