2-WEEK INTERNATIONAL SUSTAINABLE LIVING & EARTHEN BUILDING WORKSHOP

simple living practices at Pun Pun- an ecological living & learning center,
organic farm, and seed-saving operation.

December 1-14, 2005
Pun Pun- an ecological living & learning center, organic farm, and
seed-saving operation
Near Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand

Instructors/Facilitators: Jo Jandai, Peggy Reents, Ratchabodin "Dai"
Boonchaiyo, Michel Spaan, and other guests.
Come join us to support one of Thailand's model sustainability centers and
to learn by just doing it! This 2-week international event will focus half
of the time working with a variety of earthen building techniques.
Together, we will construct a 1-room adobe cottage, going from foundation
through to the finishes. The rest of the time, we will explore other
aspects of sustainability which are practiced at Pun Pun, including organic
gardening and holistic living. In this workshop you can expect plenty of
hands-on practice, on-site examples, demonstrations, discussions, classes,
and the experience of working with others who are as passionate about this
way of living as you.

6-MONTH SUSTAINABLE LIVING INTERNSHIP

An in-depth immersion in communal living, organic gardening, seed-saving,
natural building, other sustainable living techniques, and full
participation at a public demonstration living and learning center. This
internship is only available to 4 people, though some parts of the 6 months
will include larger group events. English-speakers welcome. If you are
interested, be in touch soon!

Pun Pun- A sustainable living and learning center, and seed-saving center
Near Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand

Facilitators: Jo Jandai, Peggy Reents, Ratchabodin "Dai" Boonchaiyo, Michel
Spaan, the rest of the Pun Pun Team, and other guests.
Pun Pun is a growing ecological living and learning center, organic farm,
and seed-saving center. It is home to pioneering leaders of the sustainable
living and earthen building movement in Southeast Asia. The Pun Pun
Internship is an opportunity for 4 responsible, self-motivated,
hard-working, community-minded individuals to gain in-depth experience in
communal living, organic gardening, natural building, and sustainable
living techniques. Included in the internship are both the 2-Week
International Sustainable Living & Earthen Building Workshop in December
and the 2-Month Asian Sustainable Leadership Training from February to
April. Along with this, interns will be active members of the community,
taking part in meetings, communal responsibilities, tour-giving, and the
day-to-day life..

(For Asians only) 8-WEEK SUSTAINABILITY LEADERSHIP TRAINING

This in-depth immersion is for social activists and community leaders who
will bring sustainable living, natural building, and organic farming
techniques back to their respective countries, networks, or centers, and
put them to direct use. This training is only available to 10 people. You
must be based in Asia, or with a related organization. You must be involved
with an organization, network, or center where you can put your
newly-learned skills to direct use. The training will be facilitated in
English. We also invite individuals/groups who are interested in
financially sponsoring Asian representatives. Most participants will be
coming from developing countries and farmer groups/NGOs, and so financial
support is crucial for them. Your contribution of support will be all the
more effective because each participant will have an exponential effect
within their respective communities and networks.

February 22- April 22, 2006
At Pun Pun, Wongsanit Ashram, and Santi Asok
Thailand- Start near Bangkok, End near Chiang Mai

Facilitators: Jo Jandai, Peggy Reents, Ratchabodin "Dai" Boonchaiyo, Michel
Spaan, the rest of the Pun Pun Team, Wongsanit Ashram, Santi Asok, and
other guests.
Pun Pun will be hosting its first 8-Week Sustainability Leadership
Training. Co-hosting with Pun Pun are Wongsanit Ashram- a 30-year Asian
activist training center, and Santi Asok- a network of Thai communities
re-training villagers in self-reliance, simple natural living, and
independence from the money-system. Hands-on workshops and discussions
include effective social action; using permaculture principles to teach
organic/natural farming techniques; natural building by building an adobe
meeting hall together; cooking, fermentation, and food product production;
self-care; and working with people on small independent projects.
