The Finca Luna Project in La Palma, Canary Islands is offering a golden
opportunity for a pioneering person or couple who would fit this
description:

1) stable, responsible & reliable person/s

2) to live-in and work in setting up Finca Luna Nueva (a permaculture
Charity of 6 years running, now being set up as a Foundation) for a
minimum of 6 months, preferably one year, from October 2006

3) happy with basic accommodation: a 6x4m traditional stone cottage
with compost toilet and outside shower, in a very beautiful and
peaceful setting, half a hectare farm with ocean views, 10mins walk
from village square with shop, café & bus stop.

4) would enjoy taking on the role of caring for trees, nursery and
chickens (interest sufficient, some experience preferable)

5) enjoys own company and a very quiet setting in nature (co-ordinator
mostly needs to live off-site for one year for work reasons, no others
live on the farm at the moment)

6) has a commitment to live by permaculture ethics (care of people,
care of the earth, reduce consumption).

7) has own basic income: rent is 50 euros per week + organic produce of
the finca in exchange for light work. Car available for 60euros extra
per week if needed.

9) the light work consists mainly of taking on responsibility for
setting up the forest garden and looking after chickens, about 2 - 4
hours of very pleasant but routine work per day. Various
bioconstruction jobs and a ceramics workshop are available for project
work. A small carpentry workshop is being set up.
