Experiential Learning and Traveling in India
4-week Permaculture Certification Tour in Karnataka
              January 10 - February 6, 2008

-Permaculture: noun. (permanent culture) "A design science rooted in
the observations of natural systems"-

Experience both rural and urban examples of how India and her people
are responding to farmer's suicide, women's economic development, and
preservation of diversity and heritage seeds. Our stays will span
working with small-scale, sustainable farm development to urban
applications. Tour includes visits to ecological architecture,
rainwater harvesting, women's banana fiber co-op, and wildlife
preservation site.

Through lectures, travel, site visits/stays, films, and hands-on
projects participants will contextualize local and global problems
while becoming better equipped with pragmatic sustainable skills and
solutions for a changing world.
