_http://transitioncalifornia.ning.com/_
(http://transitioncalifornia.ning.com/) will take you to a website where you can join yourself up to be connected
with others all around California who are working to implement the
Transition protocol outlined in permaculture teacher Rob Hopkins' exciting new book
"The Transition Handbook" (available from _www.hopedance.org_
(http://www.hopedance.org) or elsewhere).

HopeDance also has a list serv: Central Coast Transition Town. And
Transition Town Santa Barbara has a list serv at google groups called "transition-sb"
-- you can sign yourself up for this one if you like (if you have any
problem with that, e-mail Larry Saltzman at _lbsaltzman at aol.com_
(mailto:lbsaltzman at aol.com) ).

The goal of the Transition Initiatives movement is to help individual local
communities transition from oil dependence to local resiliency and
sustainability.

Linda
