Saturday,  Oct 24 is CLIMATE ACTION DAY! 
Join  thousands around the world to call for strong 
CLIMATE 
ACTION 
Two fabulous events will happen in Santa  Barbara on Oct 24 as  part of a 
global climate change action (

_www.350.org_ (http://www.350.org/) ). People will be marching and  holding 
events all over the world to wake up our communities, politicians  and 
world leaders to the critical issue of climate change. Come and be part of  the 
fun as we wake up Santa  Barbara to what’s  happening! 
1. CLIMATE ACTION  MARCH 
WHERE: Vera Cruz Park on Cota (opposite the  Farmers Market) 
WHEN: Saturday, October 24th, 11  am 
THEME: WAKE UP to Climate Change! 
WHAT: We will gather to take a GROUP PICTURE to send to UN leaders  meeting 
in Copenhagen. Then we’ll MARCH from Vera Cruz Park to the  Placita on 
State Street before De la Guerra Street and hand out educational fliers on 
climate change. Please feel free to bring  posters, flags, do guerrilla theater, 
wear costumes, masks etc. to get the “wake  up” message out to our 
community. 
COST: Free!

2. CLIMATE ACTION  & SUSTAINABILITY TOWN  HALL 
WHEN: Saturday, October, 24th, 6-9  PM 
WHERE: Faulkner Main Central Gallery at  the Santa  Barbara  Library
6-9pm (Set-up starts at 5:30) 
WHAT: This event  will feature a presentation on the Carbon Economy Series 
(carboneconomysb.com)  at the Orella Ranch. There will also be an open 
discussion forum to bring active  local organizations together to share ideas, 
projects and resources with the  public about global warming, sustainable 
agriculture, permaculture, reduction of  ocean pollution and other pressing 
issues related to sustainability. The goal is  to raise awareness, built support 
and strengthen our  community. 
WHO: YOU! If you would like to set up a table  or make a 5-10 minute 
presentation on your current projects, or show a video,  please contact Aubrey 
Falk - 805-815-5657 or Guner Tautrim - 805-698-8823. There  will be a projector 
available to show short informational videos about projects,  as well as a 
microphone for speakers.  
COST: Free (donations to pay for the room  gratefully accepted).
