Aloha,
We are Al & Jayne Cloutier and our film Olomana Gardens Permaculture and Aquaponics was recently honored as an Official Selection to be screened at the Green Lifestyle Film Festival. We will be traveling to LA to attend the screening at The James Bridges Theatre at UCLA. The film festival will be held March 19th- March 21st 2010. We are contacting Permaculture organizations in the greater LA area to let them know about our film, and to tell them that we hope to see them at the screening! Here is a link to a recent article about us in The Honolulu Advertiser: http://www.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/20100108/GETPUBLISHED/1080384/
If you can help us spread the news, we would surely appreciate it! Mahalo nui loa,

For a film that highlights worms and poop, Olomana Gardens Permaculture and Aquaponics is getting some great exposure! From first winning an Award of Excellence at The Accolade Awards last fall, to receiving a Green Apple Award at the Green Lifestyle Film Festival in LA , it now has been accepted at The Barebones Film festival in Oklahoma. The film, starring Glenn Martinez, was filmed and produced by Al & Jayne Cloutier of World Class Productions LLC. Produced in High Definition, it takes viewers through a tour of the highly acclaimed permaculture farm in Waimanalo, Hawai'i.

The Barebones Film Festival, now in it's 11th year, provides a platform from which to showcase low-budget (less than one million dollars) independent movies with a focus on championing the Bare Bones Auteur ( a multi-tasking visionary who assumes responsibility for creative and business aspects) locally, Regionally and Internationally.
Filmmakers Al & Jayne Cloutier are hopeful that they can add another film award to the rapidly growing collection on their shelf. They will attend The GLFF next week to screen the film at The James Bridges Theatre at UCLA on March 19th- March 21st 2010.
The Cloutiers are not resting on their laurels, though. They have just completed another film entitled "Lono's Bounty". Directed and Produced by Al Cloutier and Kamuela Vance, the film features several local faces, including; Chef Alan Wong, Slow Food Leader Laurie Carlson, Poi Pounder Daniel Anthony, Farmer Ed Otsuji, Director of Lo'i Studies Makahiapo Cashman, Chef Ed Kenney, Activists Henry Curtis, Kat Brady, Ma'o Organic Farm Education Specialist Kamuela Enos, and many more.
