Bilingual Permaculture Design Certificate Course

In Costa Rica  February 11 through 26

  Curso Bilingue de Certificado en Diseño de 
Permacultura en Costa Rica 2011  desde el  11 
hasta el 26 de febrero.

  This first course offered by Red Permanezca will 
feature five days taught by Scott Pittman, 
Director of the Permaculture Institute in the US 
and  has taught Permaculture since 1985 in more 
than 18 countries and 4 continents, from 
indigenous tribes in South America to corporate 
teams in Guinea, with projects ranging from small 
gardens to ranches of a thousand acres.  For many 
years Scott taught with Bill Mollison one of the 
founders of Permaculture.

and will also be taught by Ronaldo Lec of 
Guatemalaof the Mesoamerican Institute of 
Permaculture (IMAP) with its base in Atitlan, 
Guatemala.  Rony has been teaching how to 
implement permaculture systems and self 
sufficiency to indigenous and rural people for 
more than 10 years.

As well as Juan Rojas from El Salvador. Juan 
Rojas is a member of the Directive of the 
Permaculture Institute of El Salvador (IPES) and 
promoter of the Campesino a Campesino movement in 
El Salvador.  He is a graduate of the 
Permaculture Institute in Australia with Bill 
Mollison.


Taught in English and Spanish with simultaneous 
translation, the course will be given on an 
established working organic farm with opportunity 
for hands on experiences with goats, chickens and 
horses in addition to gardens of all types.

Costa Rica is not just jungle and beaches or as 
we say,  pineapple and bananas.  This course 
given at La Finca La Flor de Paraiso in the 
province of Cartago shows off the beautiful Orosi 
Valley in Costa Rica.  The town of La Flor, 
located at 4000 ft above sea level, is a typical 
rural community of the Central Valley about one 
and a half hours from San Jose.
Finca La Flor

has comfortable cabins and most areas of the farm 
are easily accessible from the main house and 
dining "rancho".  Accommodations for 15 nights, 
three meals, (from the farm) per day, and laundry 
service are included in the course cost.

  $  700 for Latin-American natives (verifiably living in Latin America)

$1700 for those from North American countries
