As I see it, the rain barrels are just training wheels to age old attempts at effecting the stupid, legislated architecture of our modern homes choices given to us...we got to start somewhere...wouldn't I just love the earthship concept on the whole water cycle of harvest, tiered use and final greywater treatments in my house....but WOW...not in CA anytime soon...legally at least.
