Hey all, a friend of mine has a property in Ojai that was someones permaculture
paradise design 20-30 years ago.  It's an amazing site with mature fruit trees
(more varieties of mulberries than I've ever seen!) and gardens, gray water, and
a bunch of other cool features.
Upkeep is pretty major and he is looking for permaculture minded people to come
play - perhaps host workshops?  I had thrown some idea out about topics for a
series of workshops but it's impractical for me to do them as it's so far out of
my bioregion and I've got my plate overfull with work here in the city of
Angels.
If any of y'all are hankering to get your hands into a gorgeous piece of land,
have an inspired demonstration site for hosting workshops, and/or looking to
invest in a mature food forest site this is an incredible opportunity.  Please
email me and I'll connect you!
Thanks,
Joan
"There is one, and only one, solution, and we have almost no time to try it. We
must turn all our resources to repairing the natural world, and train all our
young people to help. They want to.
We need to give them this last chance to create forests, soils, clean waters,
clean energies, secure communities, stable regions, and to know how to do it from
hands-on experience"
"...the greatest change we need to make is from consumption to production, even
if on a small scale, in our own gardens. If only 10% of us do this, there is
enough for everyone.
Hence the futility of revolutionaries who have no gardens, who depend on the
very system they attack, and who produce words and bullets, not food and
shelter."
