Mulberry Haven* and Biointensive for Russia present
this year's workshop on:

Mulberry Tree Propagation by Rooting of Cuttings
with Kody Ryan, Biodynamic orchardist

Join us to learn the easiest way to clone a tree!

Kody will demonstrate simple techniques for propagating mulberry and other
fruit trees
of the 5 varieties we grow here at Mulberry Haven.

You will be able to take cuttings of one or more trees, for propagation and
planting in your own orchard or yard.

Saturday, March 9, 10 am - 12 noon, Mulberry Haven, 913 Oso Rd., Ojai
Valley  (near the Oso Rd. trail head in the Ventura River bottom)

• $15 donation or 2 hours work exchange -- contact Carol

• Includes mulberry, olive, and/or fig cuttings

• Add $10 or potluck item for Eurasian lunch
   with Irina Kim (must reserve in advance)

• Stay into afternoon for orchard tour and/or
   grafting with Kody Ryan and David White

**We have rooted mulberry trees, Nopal cactus, and Aloe in pots, along with
Sunshine grapefruit, blood oranges, and carob pods

*Mulberry Haven is a 100% organic fruit farm established by Gordon and
Marie Kennedy in 1978. It is known to some as the oldest mulberry farm in
North America. The mulberries in five varieties number 66 mature trees,
their berries being marketed each year in late spring and summer. Included
among the 100+ other fruit trees are carob, pomegranate, persimmon,
avocado, Sunshine grapefruit (grapefruit/pomelo/tangelo cross), blood
orange, pomelo, sapote, fig, apricot, and "Sprite" cherry-plum. Carol and
Irina also tend GROW BIOINENSIVE gardens in roughly 1000 sq. ft. of the
