Good day!

We always have a pretty good California team for this conference. EXCELLENT speakers and content.

The focus this year is REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE.

2014 Quivira Conference

“Back To The Future”

NOVEMBER 12 - 14, 2014, Albuquerque, New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, NM. – The Quivira Coalition is proud to announce its 2014 Quivira Conference: “Back To The Future” taking place Wednesday– Friday, November 12 - 14, 2014 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

"Regenerative agriculture is fixin’ to rise to its place in the world." – Sid Goodloe

In this conference we will emphasize land use concepts and practices that are "old and yet new.” It's part of the burgeoning regenerative agriculture movement, whose aim is to restore the soil, the land, ourselves, and our communities to health and happiness via naturally renewing processes. In some cases, this means reviving or expanding time-tested practices, in others it means adopting new technologies and ideas appropriate for regenerative goals. In all cases, it means following your passion.

The UN designated 2014 as the International Year of Family Farming and tasked it with the goal of raising the profile of family farmers (and ranchers) and the significant role they play in alleviating hunger and poverty, providing food security and nutrition, improving livelihoods, managing natural resources, and protecting the environment. Quivira has selected speakers for this conference who represent the diversity of the regenerative agriculture movement around the globe.

Join us for three days of inspiring presentations and conversations, including two workshops on day one; wetlands restoration in working landscapes, featuring Bill Zeedyk, and how to build soil through planned grazing, taught by Gabe Brown and his son Paul.

Jim Gerrish, previous conference speaker said, “As a result of the three days we spent at the Quivira conference, Dawn and I got fully recharged and inspired to continue to run the good race and fight the good fight. I finally have reason to believe the future of American agriculture is a little brighter than I thought it might be.
