The California Rare Fruit Growers are offering a workshop at Mesa Harmony Garden this Saturday: 10:30-12:30. Hospitality starts at 10 am so come early!

Summer Pruning!

Summer is a great time to prune fruit trees! Dead wood can be removed. Damaged limbs can be pruned. Excessive green growth can be thinned or pinched back. Sucker growth can be taken out (especially suckers coming up from below the graft) and trees can be shaped and controlled for height and size as well.

A practical hands-on workshop – you’ll be helping us by attending this work-shop!

Note: Please bring any pruning tools you have – secateurs, clippers, loppers or pruning saws!

See attached for full details.

All welcome - hope to see you there!

Hugh
