[Southern California Permaculture] Reminder from the City of SB/Irrigation Prohibited After Rain/FREE Rain Sensors

1. Rainfall Reminder: Watering Prohibited During & 48 Hours After Rainfall
Statewide regulations prohibit irrigation with 
potable water during or 48 hours after measurable 
rainfall. The City defines measurable rainfall as 
0.25 inches within a 24 hour period in downtown 
Santa Barbara (rain station 545). For real-time

2. Free Rain Sensors Available for City of Santa Barbara Water Customers
City water customers can receive a free rain 
shut-off sensor when they schedule a free Water 
Checkup appointment. More Information can be

3. Rainwater Harvesting Classes
Rainwater Harvesting 101 Classes and Hands-on 
Workshops are being offered on the South Coast 
just about every month from Sweetwater 
Collaborative! Come learn how to use rainwater as 
a resource and install beautiful earthworks that 
slow, sink, and spread rainwater. More info on
