Today City Council meeting, tomorrow, Community Forum…

ACT NOW! Support 100% renewable energy for
Santa Barbara

At the CEC’s request (and yours!), the City of Santa Barbara will discuss setting a goal for 100% renewable energy next Tuesday, June 6. We need to show up in strong numbers to ensure that council members see that this shift to clean energy is important for our community.

Take action with us to secure 100% renewable energy in
Santa Barbara by 2030.

1) Speak before or attend Santa Barbara City Council.

When and where: Tuesday, June 6. Santa Barbara City Hall Council Chambers, 735 Anacapa St. Santa Barbara, CA 93101.
This agenda item is expected to come up between 3 - 5 p.m. A link to the agenda will be posted here after June 1: cecsb.org/100Renewable.

2) Attend a forum on Community Choice Energy.

When and where: Wednesday, June 7 at 5:30 p.m., Santa Barbara Public Library's Faulkner Gallery, 40 E. Anapamu St. Santa Barbara, CA 93101.

Learn more about Community Choice Energy, a method to get cleaner electricity to local homes and businesses and provide greater local control over how that electricity is sourced. In this free public forum, you'll hear from leaders of communities like Marin and Lancaster that have successfully implemented Community Choice, and have an opportunity to ask questions about how this program might look in our community.
