Hey everyone, once again Global Resource Alliance is hosting a dinner to share their work, we go every year!

 

 We visited their center in Tanzania on our way to the International Permaculture Convergence in 2009, where they met our friend Julious Piti from  Zimbabwe, and as a result of connecting at that convergence, Julious went on to help them design a permaculture village for a village of 5000, for women & AIDS/HIV orphans, featured in the documentary film From the Mara Soil.   

 

Wow, amazing connections do happen at these International Permaculture Convergences, and maybe some might happen here too, at GRA’s lovely annual event in Ojai, in the beautiful outdoor setting of the Meditation Mount patio, a chance enjoy & visit with friends in the balmy Ojai evening air.   And read below to learn about their very special guest, Madaraka Nyerere.  See below for how to RSVP.

Join us in welcoming Madaraka Nyerere, visiting all the way from Global Resource Alliance-Tanzania!  Following a complimentary gourmet vegan dinner, Mr. Nyerere will share his experience as Director of GRA - Tanzania and how that work relates to the vision of his father, Julius Nyerere, the Founding Father of Tanzania.  GRA's US directors, Lyn and Tara, will also provide a brief update of progress on rural water supply, support for orphans, permaculture, herbal medicine and tree planting, with special emphasis on sustainable alternatives to the global charcoal dilemma.

 

This is a FREE fundraising event open to the community. Bring your friends!
