Saw this amazing film at the SB International Film Festival yesterday afternoon.   It was at the Lobero, where usually at 2 or 4 pm, films are offered free to the community.

Point of No Return – Solar Impulse – Solar Flight

THE BEHIND THE SCENES DOCUMENTARY ABOUT SOLAR IMPULSE Soaring at 28,000 feet without a drop of fuel, nothing is predictable. Not the weather, not the technology. And certainly not the fate of a man, alone for five days in a fragile, first-of-its-kind aircraft with nothing but ocean below. Point of No Return takes you behind the headlines of the first solar-powered flight around the world—where two courageous pilots, Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg, take turns battling nature, their own crew, and sometimes logic itself, to achieve the impossible. Not just to make history, but to inspire a revolution.

It is some men's great dream to explore the world. Today we present Solar Impulse 2, an aircraft, powered only by the sun that is attempting the First #Round-The-World Solar Flight this year. If you want to learn more about how a plane can fly for days at a time, without any fuel, drop a comment and ask your questions, or visit http://www.solarimpulse.com/en/our-ad... . WHAT IS SOLAR IMPULSE ? The only airplane of perpetual endurance, able to fly day and night on solar power, without a drop of fuel. Our challenge is to attempt the First Round-The-World Solar Flight in 2015. A way for Bertrand Piccard, André Borschberg and their team to demonstrate how pioneering spirit, innovation and clean technologies can change the world.
