Our area is preparing for another storm moving in this week. The National Weather Service is forecasting that this storm will bring prolonged periods of heavy rainfall, with totals of 2-5 inches in coastal areas and up to 10 inches in our foothill/mountain areas. The storm is predicted to arrive late Tuesday evening and last through late Thursday.

The County of Santa Barbara has issued Evacuation Orders for recent burn areas. A mandatory evacuation order has been issued for those areas at High Risk (Yellow) and Extreme Risk (Red) for debris flow. This order goes into effect at Noon tomorrow (Tuesday, March 20). At this time, there are no planned closures of the 101 Freeway. CHP and Caltrans will continuously monitor the storm and will only close the freeway if there is a danger to public safety.
