For the first time this Saturday, our monthly crop swap and potluck is being combined with the California Rare Fruit Growers monthly workshop.  This month’s free workshop is: “Tips on Summer Pruning Your Fruit Trees and Shrubs”.  >>> Full Details Below <<<

The Food Bank’s Backyard Bounty program will be ready to take the surplus from the crop swap for their clients, and the Master Gardener help table will be on-site to answer all your garden questions.

The schedule for the morning:

9am  - join us volunteers working in the garden

10am - pre-workshop socializing

10:30 - workshop starts

12pm - crop swap and potluck (more about the crop swap here)

1pm   - wrap up

A number of garden boxes have been donated, and these need to be re-built and gopher-proofed – many thanks to Matthew and his family for this donation.

Join us in the shade of our big stone pine for the workshop and garden exchange, and learn lots of practical tips about summer pruning while you’re here. Bring any surplus home-grown produce or plants that you would care to share. Join us even if you don’t have anything to share just now – and bring food and drink for the potluck, with your own re-usable plates, cutlery etc..

We would love to hear from anyone who is interested in helping to organize these monthly workshops – please email me if you think you might be able to help.
