Identifying Local Fungi In Santa Ynez Valley

Join biologist and fungi expert Bob Cummings for a mushroom identification 
workshop at UC Sedgwick Reserve on Saturday, January 26.

Participants should meet at the Reserve studio at 9:00 a.m. for this 
three-hour program, which will entail some light walking to hunt for 
mushrooms, followed by a lecture.

Dr. Cummings has been collecting plants and fungi in the Santa Barbara area 
since the 1960s. For 30 years he has been a teacher of general botany and 
plant biology at Santa Barbara City College, where he was honored as 
"Faculty Lecturer" in 1992.

This program is sponsored by the Santa Ynez Valley Natural History Society 
and UC Sedgwick Reserve. It is free to Society members and Reserve docents; 
nonmembers pay $10. To register, call 686-1941.
