This Saturday May 15, Noon to 5pm, the Environmental Defense
Center (a public interest law-firm active in Ventura and Santa
Barbara Counties) presents their 3rd Annual Farm Day Benefit at the
Churchill Orchard, 4101 Grand Ave., Ojai.

This Farm Day benefit includes: tours of this
sustainably-farmed tangerine and avocado orchard, a guacamole-making
contest (we supply the avos and lemons and salt; you bring your own
condiments), music by the Sulfur Mountain Boys (possibly the last
opportunity to see Jonathon McEuen in a relaxed setting...), the
Solar Roller Educational exhibit, prize drawings and a minimum of
speechifying.

Cost for adults is $12, $6 for kids 12 and under (includes 2 drinks).

Wear sensible shoes -- we have lots of prickers and stickers.

The previous two years it's been a lot of fun; We'd love to see you there.

late breaking news: Jim Churchill promises that his Ford 7610
tractor will be converted to run on recycled vegetable oil - so we
can all inhale the aroma of used French Fry oil - soooo much nicer
than diesel....
